Java 6 update 39 to 41 balloon

For the last few months I get a balloon pop up telling me to upgrade to a new version of java 6 - apart from one in September telling me of java 7 which I ignored till the next day when it said to upgrade java 6.
Java SE 6 Update 35 2012-08-30 Contains a security-in-depth fix[65]
Java SE 7 Update 7 2012-08-30 4 security fixes

Actually I think it was 17th June 2012 when i got balloon for 7u05 and 18th june 2012 when I got balloon for 6u33, looking at the screenshots I saved.
Java SE 6 Update 33 2012-06-12 14 security fixes, improved VM configuration file loading.
Java SE 7 Update 5 2012-06-12 14 security fixes
so maybe if i cancel today's update for 7u15 like I did in June it'll show me the update for 6u41 ?

Today is the 22nd and that was 2 days ago but I've had no automatic update service reminder for 6u41. Maybe tommorrow?

Today is the 22nd and that was 2 days ago but I've had no automatic update service reminder for 6u41. Maybe tommorrow?

I don't think I have ever had an update notice, but then I do an
automated check twice a day for a new version with Vercheck. Oracle
may delay the announcement to the general public to avoid swamping
their servers and to give the programmers a kick at the new version
first to make sure there are no show stoppers.

1.7.0_15 has important security updates. If you need help downloading,

I got a balloon pop up about an hour ago. I was expecting it would say to
update to the
latest java 6 (like last summer) with 6u41 but instead it said 7u15.
So as the balloon has insisted 7u15 twice in a row (last time was on
Wednesday), i updated
to 7u15.

and I now get the security warning, which i didn't before.

Playing this java Commodore 64 Commando game it has a fault for me in that you have to press the fire (left mouse) button at same time as left cursor just so that the sprite can walk left.

I installed a program a few weeks ago I think - Audacity?. I think the author said he'd have to pay a fee for a security certicate. Is this so in your case?

Anyway I click "I accept the risk and want to run this application" and I see no harm done.

On a side note, the java Available program says "ping not reachable" for all the URLs i type in like amazon.com google.com wambooli.com mindprod.com DOS ping working for them. So that's my Windows XP firewall then, I suppose. Don't why the difference.
